the body is a material
as a dancer my vocabulary of movement is the tool I use to work with the body
the body is phenomenal
it is lived and experienced
it offers structure like an object
duality is shown through the way our bodies explore the space of non-bodily objects
through the gesture of affordances objects instruct our intuitive notions of how to interact with them
I am interested in how I can use my body as a way of exploring movement with the objects I create
how the body and the object can morph together and push apart
